Wires 10.0

Collection of 12 silhouettes.

Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, MA degree 2011.

Using only the basic ‘first’ knot of Macramé, Jantine creates shapes to write a story around the human body, turning inside and exploring the outside. Inspired by 70s textile art and modern craftsmanship where tailoring, minimal garments and complicated structures intertwine.

The collection has been selected for International Competition ITS#10 in Triëste, Italy, and has received numerous international publications in magazines such as StyleZeitGeist, Elle, Another Magazine and more.

La Cabane Mosane

Renovation and Interior Design for La Cabane Mosane, Waulsort (Belgium).

Wood paneling, mid-century design and a record player enhance the seventies vibe, with the endearingly simple kitchen as the icing on the cake. The Japanese bath and the ingeniously fabricated bathroom sink prove that this cabin for 4 is as authentic as it is quirky.

Capsule Collection ‘Louise’

Capsule Collection commissioned by the Dutch Embassy in Brussels for High Fashion Low Countries (2012).

Inspired by Russian Architect Alexander Brodsky, she has translated the geometric structures of his drawings into three macramé pieces. On the garments – made with cotton, wool and silk – Jantine has incorporated 3D effects and colour variations ranging from dark red to ochre, creating an interplay of light and colour.

Shown at MAD Brussels, De Brakke Grond Amsterdam and The Somerset House in London.

Stay

At La Cabane Mosane, the focus is on what really matters. So you can fully enjoy the sloping woodland garden of 2,000 m² that surrounds this 70s chalet and the view over the valley. Wood paneling, mid-century design and a record player enhance the seventies vibe, with the endearingly simple kitchen as the icing on the cake. The Japanese bath and the ingeniously fabricated bathroom sink prove that this cabin is as authentic as it is quirky. Happiness you will enjoy with 4 people. If you want to lounge around during the day, you can do so on the elegant daybed. Good to know, this secret spot is hidden from the public road. You leave your car at the bottom of the slope and then climb up through the garden.   Shot by Olmo Peeters
